The Road Ahead
Howdy all!
A few of you have been asking what’s next for Star Trucker and as we let slip some plans in a recent Reddit AMA* we thought we should share a high-level overview of what’s in development…
2025 Roadmap
We currently have three updates planned for the remainder of this year…
We’ll provide more detailed information on various new features as we get closer to rolling them out, but for now, check out these summaries for some initial context…
Slot Difficulty Update
ETA : July - Currently being tested by QA
Update Type : Minor
Overview : Adds ability to adjust galaxy (difficulty) settings mid-game without the need to restart your save slot
Anniversary Update + PC Peripheral Support
ETA : September
Update Type : Regular
Overview : Focuses on refinements to the procedural job generator while adding some new surprises and treats. We also hope to roll out initial support for PC peripherals (such as HOTAS devices) as part of this update.
Business Ventures Update
ETA : December / January
Update Type : Major
Overview : Adds a new business focused meta-game, increases job / gameplay variety and introduces new a NPC
Please keep in mind that although we’ll do our very best to deliver on the listed dates, timings could change based on feedback from QA and other elements outside of our control (or if we feel the update needs more polish)
Rollin’ Records
Speaking of deliveries. It sounds like the vinyl soundtrack has been delivered to the warehouses early and distribution to customers is imminent!
It’s also worth noting that once these shipments have been accounted for, a handful of the limited edition records might also become available, so keep an eye on the Laced Records Store for a chance to snag one.

Creative Community
We’re also putting together a community round-up post. So if you’ve taken some nice snaps in Photo Mode, made some cool Lego builds, or created anything else creative and related to Star Trucker, be sure to send some pics or links our way for a chance to be included!

Cruisin’ On
So, just a short update, but hopefully an informative one. We’re super excited to finally confirm when the peripheral support should drop and there’s lots of other neat things in the works.
